Apple MacBook Pro 2014 launch at Christmas with touchscreen feature and longer battery life

The MacBook Pro 2014 is set to be released around Christmas and will be available for purchase just right in time for the gift-giving season. The laptop is reported to also come with a touchscreen feature and longer battery life.

There were reports that claimed that Apple will launch the MacBook Pro 2014 in October just like last year when the company announced the new batch of MacBooks. The new MacBooks release date will arrive in time for the holiday season with the hope to gain high profit and sales. However, Apple has not announced the details of its upcoming devices as well as its timeline in launching these gadgets.

Apple already hinted the imminent release date of its new MacBook Pro 2014 as it slashed the prices of the current models of its MacBook Pro lineup. Apple decreased the starting price of the MacBook Pro line in its Apple Store by giving out a $100 discount. One of the indications that a new device is coming is when the price of the previous models decrease.

On the other hand, MacBook Pro 2014 is also rumored to pack a touchscreen feature, which was first hinted by a patent submitted by Apple to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in October 2012, according to BGR. Moreover, the laptop is also purported to pack a better battery. Aside from a new touchscreen feature and longer battery life, Apple is expected to include the new 14-nanometer Broadwell chips from Intel.

But despite all this, there is also a possibility that Apple will delay the release of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2014 after the company recently gave the current MacBook line a facelift. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros with Retina display both received an upgrade to the 200MHz processor.
