LG G3 release date for US in July; Handset now available in UK

LG G3 release date in the US is expected to happen in July, but the Brits are able to get their hands on the new LG smartphone first.

According to Android Origin, Unlocked Mobiles now offers unlocked models of LG G3 in UK. Unlocked Mobiles is one of the biggest retailers of unlocked devices in UK and treats its clients with next-day delivery. This means that consumers do not have to wait for days for the shipping of the handset.

The report added that the LG G3 in black is the only model that is currently available for the aforementioned offer. Unfortunately, the gold or white models are not included in the deliver promo. The models will be available in the 1st and 7th of July, respectively.

Reliable tipster @evleaks said that LG G3 US release date in the US is reported to be on July 17, but pre-orders will start on the 10th. Sprint is reported to offer the device on July 25. However, LG Electronics has not confirmed the concrete release date yet of the handset in the US.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile just ended its give-away of the beta version of the handset. This indicated that the South Korean company will start rolling out its new flagship phone soon.

According to the spec sheet of LG G3, the handset will feature a 5.5-inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen; a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and a Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset; 13 megapixel primary back camera with optical image stabilization, phase detection and dual-LED flash and 2.1 MP front facing camera; and 3000 mAh battery.

The handset is available in two variants: the 16GB version will pack 2GB of RAM and the 32GB model will pack a 3GB RAM. Both devices are equipped with microSD slot for additional external storage of up to 128GB. Moreover, the handset will run with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS, which will be upgraded to Android 4.4.4 version update.
