LG G3 release date on June 27 but US release dates still unknown

LG G3 release date is set for June 27 in many countries, excluding the United States.

LG Electronics announced that it will begin rolling out its new flagship smartphone LG G3 on the said date. To the dismay of many fans, the said release date does not include release in the U.S.

The company said that other countries in Asia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, will get hold of the new device. It added that the rest of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East will get hold of the LG G3 no later than July. Obviously, the U.S. was excluded in the list.

According to reports, the South Korean mobile manufacturer confirmed that the handset that will be distributed in European and Asian markets will include wireless charging. However, this additional feature will not arrive in all variants.

This suggested that the U.S. market may not see LG G3 with built-in wireless charging feature. One of the reasons is because carriers posed a problem since they charge additional cost for such feature.

Meanwhile, it was initially speculated that LG G3 U.S. release date will be on July 17 and that the pre-order of the device will be on the 10th. Reliable tipster @evleaks tweeted that Verizon will start the pre-order of the LG G3 on July 10, while Sprint offer the device on the 25th of the same month.

The company also confirmed that the LG G3 will be available in 17 different countries worldwide.

LG G3 was announced on May 28 and was immediately available in South Korea. LG's new smartphone is reportedly set to hit retail stores and carriers before the end of Q2 2014.

LG G3 packs a 5.5. inches screen display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution, quad core Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 clocked at 2.3 GHz, 13 megapixel back camera, 4.4.2 version of Android operating system., and 3,000 mAh battery capacity.
