Developed by actor Ashton Kutcher who currently works as a product engineer for Lenovo, the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has been designed as a highly improved tablet with a built-in projector as its special feature. The device is then expected to broadcast images that can be as huge as 50 inches.

"Our vision for the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro was to create the best tablet on the market," Kutcher said. "To do that, we really looked at how people use tablets and what they needed for a better experience."

He also added that the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro comes with major improvements in terms of display, specs and performance.

"The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has got the best sound, a dramatically brilliant camera and display, a new mode, a projector and top processor, so I think we created the best tablet available," the actor further stated. "I can't wait for people to try it."

Placed at the device's rear, the pico projector broadcasts at a 16:9 aspect ratio, which users can easily control by means of a physical button or a software button which is provided on the tablet's main interface screen.

The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro also comes with a quad HD display of 2560 x 1440 resolution, although such resolution is reduced when the projector is being used.

"The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro is the culmination of the most extensive research and feedback we've ever undertaken ..." Jeff Meredith, vice president of Lenovo's mobile business group, explained. "As a result, we've preserved the best features of the original YOGA Tablet -- the modes and the long battery life -- and now we've raised the bar completely with technologies like the projector that keep changing the way we think of tablets."

While the projector is a special feature of the device, Lenovo also incorporated an 8-watt sound system that comes with a subwoofer that will allow users to enjoy movie screenings.  The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro is said to be the first tablet that comes with such sound system.  It also sports dual speakers that boast Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master HiFi technology.

The tablet is also powered by a fourth-generation 1.33 GHz Intel Atom processor and 2 GB of RAM. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a 1.6-megapixel front camera along with internal storage of either 16 GB or 32 GB. The device also supports microSD cards of up to 64GB.

Prices for the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro may start at $499.
