LA Lakers trade rumors: Nick Young, D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle to be traded for Russell Westbrook?

Since the beginning of the year there have been speculations that Oklahoma City Thunders' ace player Russell Westbrook may be traded to the LA Lakers. According to a report from Yibada, this may be possible if the Lakers also manage to get Kevin Love.

It is further explained that the two players do have a strong relationship due to their time playing together for the UCLA. If Kevin Love indeeds crosses over to the Lakers for next season, it is likely that Westbrook will follow the moment he becomes a free agent.

A report from Complex attempted a Fantasy Trade to speculate what it would take for the Lakers to gain Westbrook and reported that the team would need to give up future potentials such as Nick Young, Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell. All three are reportedly set to become NBA legends themselves if properly nurtured.

Notably absent from the Fantasy Trade-off is Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. It is widely speculated that Bryant may be in his final season, and according to a post from LakeShowLife, Bryant may already be preparing for his official retirement from the NBA.

During the Lakers' match against the New York Knicks, the Lakers had lost their lead and Bryant was placed into the game in an attempt to regain the lead. However, as reported, he only managed 6 of 19 field shots and only 2 of 10 from the three-point range, equating to a 30 percent and 20 percent performance, respectively.

It is also noted in the report that this has been a consistent performance rating for Kobe Bryant lately, an NBA player once known for hitting almost every shot made. It is further implied that Bryant already knows he is done in the NBA and is simply trying to just have fun and make as many shots as he can before leaving the NBA for good.
