"Jurassic World" ended with Dr. Wu (BD Wong) escaping the island with several dinosaur embryos under his care. A strong message in the film was the intention of using dinosaurs for military purposes and according to a report from News Everyday, the sequel, "Jurassic World 2," may go one step further by making dinosaurs and humans live together.
According to the report, dinosaurs and humans may coexist by the time the second film comes around. Children will allegedly be keeping smaller dinosaurs as pets and adults might keep them as guards or even for professional fighting. It was mentioned in the first film that they might be used for the military and this may come to fruition.
If this proves true then "Jurassic World 2" will see dinosaurs all over the globe instead of in a single park. The report points out that the first film's director, Colin Trevorrow, previously mentioned that the characters of the first film opened the "Pandora's box" when they developed the technology, and in the sequel this technology will have spread all over the world.
However, it is undetermined if the dinosaurs that will be seen used for military purposes or for accompanying families and children are still categorized as dinosaurs. The first movie did explain that a lot of genetic alterations to the dinosaurs given that the DNA retrieved from fossils was incomplete.
The main dinosaur antagonist in Jurassic World, the Indominus Rex, was a hybrid of different dinosaurs and it is speculated that the dinosaurs in "Jurassic World 2," whether the military-type or those bred for children, may also be hybrids in order to optimize on the traits needed the most.
"Jurassic World 2" will see the return of Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. Other cast members such as BD Wong have yet to be confirmed. The film will release in theaters on June 22, 2018.
