Here's something to make "Jurassic World" fans even more excited: the promotional poster of the hit dinosaur movie has recently been unveiled at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

Based on a photo posted on Collider.com, the poster shows the classic "Jurassic Park" logo featuring the skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, this time in glowing silver and with the release date in the United States—June 22, 2018—superimposed on it.

Even before promotional poster was revealed, "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow has already been dropping hints on what the upcoming sequel will be all about.

In an interview with Wired U.K., Trevorrow floated the idea of other individuals outside the island having the capability of also making dinosaurs.

"What if this went open source? It's almost like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hands on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?" the "Jurassic World" director said.

"I think that's an interesting idea that even if we don't explore fully in this film, there is room for this universe to expand. I shouldn't use the word universe, because people will think we're making a Jurassic World universe -- we're not," he added.

Trevorrow also raised the possibility that the dinosaurs will bear weapons in "Jurassic World 2."

"I feel like the idea that this isn't always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment. And when you look back at nuclear power and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponise it and later on we found it could be used for energy."

Some fans are also speculating the possible return of original cast member Sam Neill to the "Jurassic World" franchise. In a recent interview with Wall Street Journal, Neill gave this answer when asked if he was still willing to star in the dinosaur movie: "You never say never, but I think it's moved on. It's different times."
