iPhone 6 release date September 30; full specs revealed by Amazon Japan

iPhone 6 release date will be on September 30, according to Amazon Japan.

It is either intently or accidentally that Amazon Japan posted a page for the upcoming iPhone 6, which revealed the specs and features as well as date of availability of the smartphone.

According to Amazon listing, iPhone 6 packs a 4.7-inch screen display and will ship with iOS 8. These are all predicted since these are included in the rumors circulating for quite some time.

The post also showed that the handset is available in a 64GB variant. The post also teased that the handset will come in at least two color variants, which is in gold and black. However, it is most likely that the device will be available in four color options - space gray, silver, gold, and black.

The handset costs 139,999 Japanese Yen, which is equivalent to $1,378. This is much higher compared to the pricing of the current iPhone 5S that is around $800 - $900. However, this does not come as a complete surprise as there were previous reports that stated that Apple will indeed increase the price of the next iPhone.

Most importantly, the post in Amazon Japan revealed that the iPhone 6 will be available on September 30. The post said that the items will be stocked on the said date. This is possible with the rumored September 19 launch date.

iPhone 6 is rumored to come in two variants. One model will sport a 4.7 inch screen panel and the other has 5.5 inch screen display. There were talks that the 5.5 inch variant of iPhone 6 will be available a few months after the release of the 4.7 inch model. The smaller version of iPhone 6 is rumored to be released in its usual launch window in September and the 5.5 inch phablet is rumored to be launched in October.

The new Apple flagship phone was predicted to pack the next-gen 64-bit A8 processor, iOS 8, as well as improved fingerprint sensor and camera. However, the Cupertino-based company has not revealed the official specs and features of its flagship phone.
