iPhone 6 Plus: Sudden crashes annoy users

It seems that Apple is once again under fire because of yet another problem with its phablet. After the heated and controversial #Bendgate issue, some users are now complaining about the sudden crashing of the newly-released bigger smartphone from Apple.

These users have taken out their frustration to social media, various forums and networking sites. A thread in Apple's Support Communities forum shows comments from users who say that the iPhone 6 Plus crashes inexplicably or enters a loop wherein the smartphone reboots continuously.

Complainants cannot pinpoint the main cause of the iPhone 6 Plus crashes and Apple has not commented yet on the said issue. However, some users think there is a pattern. They say that crashes usually occur in 128 GB models of the iPhone 6 Plus. Also, some of the users who reported the issue had more than 700 apps installed in their devices.

Reports claim that crashes happen even though users do not touch or use the device. Some owners have tried to fix the issue by restoring the device to its factory settings and re-installing the apps one at a time. Others turned on the Display Zoom feature. But while they initially noticed a bit of improvement in the performance, it wasn't not long-lived.  The problem still persisted although the latter is reported to reduce the number of crashes.

Some frustrated users have resorted to taking their handsets back to the Apple Store and the tech giant reportedly replaced or repaired the device depending on the extent of the issue.

Not so long ago, Apple took a blow with the #Bendgate issue claiming that the iPhone 6 Plus bends and has greater tendency to break. Some Apple users posted photos of bent iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units. Tech websites quickly jumped into the bandwagon and put the new iPhones to the test, and many websites claimed that the new smartphones are malleable and prone to breakage.

Meanwhile, Apple remains mum about the issues surrounding its smartphones.
