Best Buy is now offering the iPhone 6 for a $70 discount in an attempt to match the discounts offered by other retailers as Christmas shopping peaks.
Customs Today has reported that interested buyers can go to a Best Buy customer service and ask for a price match with Walmart. Best Buy, on the other hand, will call Walmart and will verify the unadvertised price to match the iPhone 6 price.
However, the buyer must sign a new contract and switch to Verizon Wireless.
Meanwhile, various retailers are also offering the latest Apple iPhone 6 smartphone for less. U.S. retailer Walmart brought the price of the iPhone 6 down to $129 and the iPhone 6 Plus for $229, with a 24 months contract with a carrier.
Walmart also employs the retailer's trade-in program so that consumers can get the iPhones for free. Of course, the price of your old iPhones is based on which model and what condition your handset is in. One can trade-in his or her iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, or iPhone 5C for various prices.
Walmart's affiliate and specialty stores Sam's Club further dropped the price of the Apple's handsets - but only by an extra $2, making it $127 and $227 for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, respectively. However, this particular offer is available to Sam's Club members only.
Target also offers iPhone 6 deals by gifting consumers a $50 gift card.
Meanwhile, buyers can also get the same smartphones without an upfront cost on AT&T. The retailer is also reported to offer refurbished models of the handsets for a lesser price, but it has a warranty of 90 days only.
Apple has seen its latest iPhone version sell like hot cakes in recent months after finally enlarging the screens of its next generation model. The iPhone 6 now boasts a 4.7 inch screen display and the iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5 inch panel.
Other features of the smartphones are it has an A8 processor, M8 graphics co-processor, iOS 8, 8 MP iSight camera, and up to 9 hours of battery life. The smartphones are available in larger storage versions too – 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
