iPad Mini 3 and iPhone 6 design is similar in latest concept image

The new iPad Mini 3 concept image allegedly borrows the design of the upcoming iPhone 6.

The latest render was created by designer Martin Hajek. According to Concept Phones, the new iPad Mini 3 concept image packs the same design with iPhone 6. The miniature tablet boasts a rounded and slimmer bezel. The device will retain the pill-shaped buttons but have let go of the lock/mute button and the On/Off button.

Moreover, the buttons and speaker grilles are now facing forward and not slightly inclined. Based on the render, the device will add more curves, which is completely opposite of what Apple's rivals are going for that is rectangular in form.

Meanwhile, latest rumors claimed that Apple is set to release three iPads. Taiwanese media source Economic Daily News reported that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Pro this fall.

The report further stated that the iPad Air 2 will come with a 9.7 inches display, while the iPad Mini 3 will feature a 7.9 inches screen panel. Lastly, the iPad Pro will have the biggest screen display of 12.9 inches.

Other rumored features of the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are: the same screen resolution, more advanced A8 processor, iOS 8; Touch ID fingerprint sensor; upgraded camera and longer battery pack.

The iPad Pro, on the other hand, is Apple's take entry in the tablet-laptop hybrid and will feature capacitive touchscreen and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Previous reports stated that the iPad Pro will come in two variants of resolution: a 2K variant and a 4K variant.

Apple has not revealed any official information about the iPad release date and features. The tablets are set to arrive in October, which is the usual release date window of the company's tablet line. Some sources said that the upcoming iPad models will head to production this month to make it on the expected launch in the fall.
