iPad Air 2 launch moved to December?

iPad Air 2 release date will be in December, according to Cyberland report.

It was speculated that the iPad Air 2 release date will be on Christmas this year just in time for the gift giving season. It was initially reported that the device will come out in October, which is the tablet's usual release date window.

The report said that the mass production of the display parts of the new iPad Air tablet has started sporting the same form factor as its predecessor. The iPad Air 2 will come with the same 9.7-inch screen display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 264 ppi. It will also have the same lightness as the current iPad Air.

The tablet will pack an improved A8 processor. At the back, iPad Air 2 will sport an 8MP primary camera and a 1.5MP front-facing camera.

According to MacRumors, iPad Air 2 will sport the fingerprint sensor, which is a feature that first came with iPhone 5S but was skipped on the first generation of iPad last year.

Another hint that the new iPads will be coming is the discounts on the current models. Tech giant Apple offers deals and discounts on its tablets. The company slashed $30 educational discount on iPad Air and $20 price off on the iPad Mini Retina. Moreover, Apple also offers refurbished units of iPad tablets for a cheaper price. Refurbished units were once defected models that were taken back to the factory and replaced its battery and back cover.

However, since retailers and the Apple store are confidently giving discounts to the devices, this hinted the imminent release of their successors. The drop in the price is a major clue that next generations of devices are coming.

iPad Air 2 is expected to be released with iPad Mini 3. Apple was also busy prepping for the release of its other devices such as iPhone 6, iWatch, iMac and MacBook Pro 2014, but Apple has not revealed its plans and devices set to be released soon.
