Hold on to your pockets as the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 release date may come really soon as Target offers $100 gift cards to the current models of Apple's iPad line.

Yes, the retailer is giving away a $100 gift card to anyone who purchases any iPad Air or iPad Mini with Retina display. Buyers will have to pay the full price of the tablet and the gift card will be sent to you separately, which you can use to future purchases in the retail store.

Interested buyers must hurry as the promo ends on July 12. The gift card comes along with a fine print that says:

"If you want to return the item you purchased to a Target Store, you may either keep the gift card and just return the qualifying item (you will be refunded the amount of the qualifying item reduced by the amount of the gift card), or you can return the qualifying item and the gift card for a full refund using the online receipt. If you return the item you purchased by mail, keep the gift card; you will be refunded the amount of the qualifying item reduced by the amount of the gift card."

Meanwhile, Target customers should anticipate more deals and discounts as the release of new Apple hardware nears. Latest reports claimed that the new iPad models will head to production this month to make it on the expected launch in the fall.

On the other hand, the new iPad will have the same screen display as its predecessor with pixel resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. The tablet is also speculated to pack the following: A8 processor, iOS 8; 8 megapixel shooter at the back and 1.5 MP front facing camera; as well as Touch ID fingerprint sensor and longer battery pack. The iPad Mini 3 is also predicted the aforementioned specs and features.

The new iPad models are expected to arrive in the fall and will be launched in October, which is the usual release date window of the iPad line.
