Apple finally unveiled the new generation of iPad Air and iPad Mini.

Preorders for new iPads open Oct. 17, a day after the press event that launched the tablet. Some of the notable features of the tablets are A8X processor, iOS 8, and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Below are the top places where one can buy the newly-released iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

Apple Store

Buyers who want to buy the new Apple tablets and other devices will turn to Apple Store. The day after its announcement, consumers can preorder the device. Apple lists the WiFi variant of iPad Air 2 for $500 (16GB), $600 (64GB) and $700 (128GB). Meanwhile, the WiFi with cellular variant of the device costs $630 (16GB), $730 (64GB) and $830 (128GB). On the other hand, the WiFi variant of iPad Mini 3 costs $400 (16GB), $500 (64GB) and $600 (128GB) and the WiFi with cellular variant costs $530 (16GB), $630 (64GB) and $730 (128GB).

Carriers

Currently, only AT&T and Verizon Wireless released the prices for iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 under a two-year contract. Both carriers offer the tablet without downpayment and subscribers will have to pay monthly installments. In Verizon Wireless, subscribers will pay $26.24 (16GB), $30.41 (64GB), and $34.58 (128GB) for 24 months for iPad Air 2. For iPad Mini 3, users will pay $22.08 (16GB), $26.24 (64GB), and $30.41 (128GB) for 24 months.

AT&T prices are slightly higher for shorter period of time as it requires subscribers $31.50 (16GB), $36.50 (64GB), and $41.50 (128GB) for 20 months for iPad Air 2. For iPad Mini 3, users will pay $26.50 (16GB), $31.50 (64GB), and $36.50 (128GB) for 20 months.

Retailers

Retailers offer discounted prices with Target offering the 16GB iPad Air 2 is available for $499, while the 16GB iPad Mini 3 costs $399. Walmart, on the other hand, offers both the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 for $10 less than the devices' original price. The iPad Air 2 with 16GB of storage is available for $489 and the iPad Mini 3 with 16GB of storage for $389.
