iPad Air 2 specs to support 4K ultra-high definition TV and console-level graphics

The upcoming iPad Air 2 is reported to pack features that will support 4K ultra-high definition TV and console-level graphics.

Several tech industry analysts claimed that the iPad Air 2 will be a "game changer" later this year, which hinted that iPad Air will pack incredible specs and features. Recent reports claimed that the new iPad Air 2 will be able to support the 4K ultra-high definition TV due to the fast processor upgrades.

Moreover, it is also rumored that Apple's new tablet will bring console level graphics to the tablet because of the Metal API technology. Apple may give Sony and Microsoft a run for their money if the tablet will function better in the gaming arena.

Inquisitr stated: "This new tablet could actually be one that could pull gamers aware from the usual video game formats. If Apple could also put out a controller that works perfectly with tablets like the iPad Air it could pull even more gamers away from the competitors."

Meanwhile, the alleged release date of iPad Air 2 may happen soon as the assembly of the device reportedly began this month. 9to5Mac cited ETNews claiming that the production of the next generation of iPad Air started this month and the mass production of the display components will commence in the middle of the month, while the production of the device's processor and camera sensors will begin next month.

The report continued that new iPad will resemble the design of its predecessor and will pack the same screen display with pixel resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. Moreover, the tablet will be equipped with a more advanced A8 processor, which will reinforce the efficiency and battery performance of the tablet.

Other rumored features of the iPad Air 2 are: iOS 8; 8 megapixel shooter at the back and 1.5 MP front facing camera; as well as Touch ID fingerprint sensor and longer battery pack. The tablet is speculated to arrive in October, which is the tablet's usual release date window.
