Liz Babbs has created a special meditation inspired by the London Olympics and the life of British Olympian Eric Liddell.
The Going for Gold meditation features original music composed by Andy Green and includes references to key passages from the Bible.
"I was inspired by London hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics and I wanted to help Christians run the race of faith and deepen their relationship with God," says Liz.
"I hope people will download it, listen to it and be challenged and enjoy it."
For the short meditation, Steve Stickley, actor and artistic director of Footprints Theatre Trust, also recorded iconic words attributed to the Olympian Eric Liddell, who won gold and bronze medals for Great Britain at the 1924 Paris Olympics.
Liddell not only a talented sportsman. He was also a devout Christian and famously refused to run on a Sunday, a decision that forced him to withdraw from his strongest event - the 100m race. He went on to win gold in the 400m.
His story is portrayed in the 1981 film, Chariots of Fire, which has been digitally remastered and re-released in cinemas to coincide with the Olympics.
In the film, Liddell is quoted as saying: "I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure."
The quote appears in the meditation alongside the passages from Scripture selected and read by Liz.
