HTC One M9 release date at MWC 2015, device expected to sport exotic material

HTC is speculated to release its new smartphones earlier than usual and will join the pack of mobile manufacturers that will unveil their devices at the Mobile World Congress 2015.

This year, HTC held back from participating at the MWC event with the hope of gaining more attention from the tech industry. The current HTC One M8 was unveiled in a press launch simultaneously in New York and London last March 24, which was weeks after the MWC tech event. The handset was immediately available after its announcement.

The Taiwanese manufacturer will reportedly show off the rumored HTC One M9 alongside another smartphone, the HTC One M9 Prime. Rumors hint that HTC is following the pattern of its rivals like Apple and Samsung in releasing two smartphones targeting a wider range of consumers.

Surprisingly, a lot of consumers are curiously anticipating what is packed inside the HTC Nexus 9 as the current HTC device, the HTC One M8, has been getting great reviews from critics in the tech industry.

Tech website DesignNTrend reported that the new smartphone will have an outer shell made from an "exotic material," which is claimed to be "a composite of aluminum and liquid silicone."  Also, according to rumors, HTC One M9 will include a 5.2-inch screen display with QHD screen resolution and 564 ppi, up from the HTC One M8's Full HD screen. Quad HD screen resolution is a common trend for smartphones, thus it is expected that HTC One M9 will be at par with its rivals in this department.

The smartphone is also reported to pack a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. However, there is also a possibility that HTC One M9 will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 810, which will be released early next year and is reported to be bound to Android smartphones. Other rumored features of the device are better camera with higher megapixels, water-resistant body, and longer battery life.

However, HTC has not commented on the aforementioned rumors yet.
