Aside from the heavily rumored HTC One M9, another smartphone dubbed as the HTC Desire 626 will reportedly be released ahead of the Mobile World Congress. The HTC Desire 626 is a mid-range smartphone that would cateri to the demographics that shy away from the top smartphones with hefty price tags.

Recently, an image of the HTC Desire 626 leaked online revealing some of its specs and features. The photo of the alleged smartphone was posted by notorious HTC tipster @upleaks. Moreover, the smartphone codenamed A32 is speculated to come in two variants with one of the models having a slight bump specs-wise.

@upleaks also revealed that the first variant will pack an octa-core Mediatek MT6572 chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz and coupled with 2 GB of RAM, while the other lower-end model will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 along with a 1 GB of RAM.

Both smartphones will have a 5-inch screen display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 16 GB built in storage with microSD slot for additional storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2000 mAh battery. The smartphone will run with Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Meanwhile, the HTC One M9, like the Desire 626, will also reportedly come in two variants. There will be a slight difference on the specs of the two models. Reports say that the higher end variant will feature a quad HD resolution and a Snapdragon 810 SoC from Qualcomm, while the other model will be equipped with Full HD display and a MediaTek MT6795 octa-core CPU with 64-bit architecture.

In addition, the One M9 will allegedly have: a 5- to 5.5-inch screen size, Adreno 420 graphic chipset, 3 GB of RAM, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI, 20.7-megapixel camera and 13-megapixel front-facing camera or an Ultrapixel shooter.

HTC's One M9 and Desire 626 will most likely make an appearance at HTC's event. The company already sent out press invites to the launching event on March 1, which is a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress.
