'How to Get Away with Murder' season 2 spoilers: Will Frank and Annalise have an affair?

How to Get Away with Murder ABC

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 1 ended with several revelations, particularly Frank's (Charlie Weber) involvement in Lila's murder and the sudden death of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay). Season 2 will delve into Rebecca's death but as for Frank, a report indicates that he might get into an affair with Annalise (Viola Davis).

Frank and Annalise shared a very shaky relationship in the first season and it appeared like they would become arch-enemies, particularly due to their connections with Sam and Lila.

[Spoiler Warning] The finale revealed that Frank killed Lila and that he did it on behalf of Annalise's husband, Sam (Tom Verica). Annalise and Frank also tried to accuse each other of Rebecca's death in the season 1 finale, and both think that one of the Keating Four was actually responsible for the deed.

According to a report cited by Design and Trend, Davis expressed that she likes the idea of Annalise and Frank getting together.

"I love that idea," the actress explained. "I never thought of that! That's very exciting. When you explore the kind of unusual relationship - like with Bonnie and Annalise - those create the best OMG moments, especially when you think that a relationship may be going in another direction."

The actress continued to explain that such a relationship wouldn't be possible on any other television show other than those by Shonda Rhimes. She stated that this type of dark, twisted relationship could only be done on Shondaland which many fans agree with after seeing what the series creator has done with her other hit series, "Grey's Anatomy."

According to the report, the show hasn't revealed just yet if Frank killed Lila just to repay Sam or if it was a move he had to do in order to save Annalise. If it was the latter, then there might be some glimmering hope for Frank and Annalise to develop something for each other, if they haven't done so already behind the scenes.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 premieres this September.
