'Horizon Zero Dawn' release date news: PS4 game teased in new massive poster

Horizon Zero Dawn Guerilla Games

The PS4-exclusive video game "Horizon Zero Dawn" is expected to reveal more details at this upcoming E3 Event in Los Angeles. The building that the event will take place in just draped a massive poster on its wall as a teaser for the event.

The said poster showcases a beautiful landscape teeming with greenery with a large robotic enemy facing the camera. The "camera" appears to be behind a few adventurers who are facing the monster while only using bows and arrows in their hands. The entire photo has a beautiful backdrop of a blue sky with the game's title. Under that is the slogan, "Earth is ours no more."

GameSpot noticed that said poster did "not include any mention of the game's 2016 release date". This, however, is not meant to say that the ambitious game is delayed, but only that the developers are still keeping hush-hush on details until the big reveal on this year's E3. The event will provide a huge conference regarding future video games from all the big-shot companies in the industry.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" was announced at the E3 last year. Players were excited to hear about a heavy single-player game with full day/night cycles, captivating ruins of a once bygone civilization amidst beautiful scenery of forests and mountains, and robot dinosaurs. According to Sony, Aloy was "inspired by" the female leads in various media franchises like "Game of Thrones" and "Terminator."

Eager players are also expecting the developers to announce other features that will be added in this year's E3 2016. Apparently, they are planning to add "other social features" that will be showcased in the new game. We are expecting Sony to give a live preview and a formal announcement regarding "Horizon Zero Dawn" in this year's briefing, which will take place in Los Angeles starting June 13, Monday.
