'Hawaii Five-0' season 6 premiere spoilers: Gabe kidnaps Kono and Adam in episode 1

Hawaii Five-0 CBS

"Hawaii Five-0" season 5 ended on a high note with no explosions and a wedding, but according to a report from Entertainment Weekly, all of those happy moments will dissolve in the season 6 premiere as Gabriel (Christopher Sean) returns to kidnap Kono (Grace Park) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale).

According to executive producer Peter Lenkov, Gabriel does this for the simple reason of being a sociopath.

"Gabriel was stripped of everything and he's trying to rebuild everything. It's not a personal thing like WoFat was with McGarrett. It's all about his power, wealth and position," he said.

The premiere episode will showcase Kono and Adam's wedding and for those moments, such as the exchange of vows, the show will seem like everything is fine but what happens afterwards is what will turn things upside down for the main cast.

Lenkov then added that Kono and Adam will "have the worst first night of their honeymoon that anyone can ever have."

The rest of the episode will see the team tracking down an art thief trying to unearth pirate treasure. This will fit into the "case of the week" formula instead of the season's overarching plot.

One person who may not be in the premiere episode is Danny (Scott Caan). The character is often missing for weeks in the show and in an interview with Post-Gazette, the actor was finally able to explain why he wasn't always present for more episodes.

"I do five episodes less than series star Alex O'Loughlin," said Caan. "I just do a couple episodes less so I can come home to see my family and stuff. They were cool about it so we just all came to that."

Caan resides in Los Angeles, California while the show shoots in Hawaii.

"Hawaii Five-0" premieres its season 6 premiere episode, "Mai ho*oni i ka wai lana mālie," on Sept. 25.
