'Halo 6' release date: launch on Windows 10 PC as well as Xbox One confirmed

Halo 5: Guardians, the most recent title in the series 343 Industries, Microsoft

The "Halo" video game franchise continues to prosper with the upcoming "Halo Wars 2" and the upcoming launch of the "Halo 5" Forge level creator for Windows 10 PC. Back in September last year GamesRadar confirmed that 343 Industries is indeed beginning the work on "Halo 6," and now PC Gamer reports that it will launch for the Windows 10 PC.

According to the report, Microsoft revealed during their Xbox Conference at this year's E3 that their first-party games such as "Forza Horizon 3" and "Gears of War 4" will be available for both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One. The report reveals that Microsoft wants digital purchases to apply for both the Xbox One and PC.

This will ensure gamers don't need to buy the same game twice, allow for cross-platform gaming between the two platforms and ensure gamers won't be forced to buy an expensive PC rig just to play some games or an Xbox One for the games that are not on PC.

Xbox head Phil Spencer explained that this plan would ensure that games will not be about "putting content only on console to manipulate Windows gamers to go buy an Xbox. It's a different experience from playing on PC. I'm not saying it's better or worse, it's just different."

When asked if there would be any reason that future "Halo" games would not be available on both the Windows 10 PC and Xbox One, he stated there was not at all, confirming that "Halo 6" will indeed be released on both platforms.

However, Spencer did not reveal when fans of the franchise could expect "Halo 6" to be released.

Given that the game is already in development, fans speculate it will be releaed by 2018. This is likely due to the fact that "Halo 5: Guardians" was released three years after the launch of "Halo 4," which launched just a little more than 3 years after "Halo 3."

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
