Haiti pastors receive crisis training

While the devastation and heartache of the earthquake in Haiti may have dropped off the radar of the mainstream media, Somebody Cares, a growing voluntary membership network with relationships around the world has been assisting earthquake survivors in Haiti since January.

The ministry will provide a full day of executive leadership training in overcoming crisis to hundreds of pastors and other national leaders on Friday, June 11, presented by Dr. Doug Stringer, founder of two international ministries as well as a sought-after international speaker, minister and author.

A ministry update says Dr. Stringer provides honest, insightful, and practical guidance for leaders in every stage of life and experience. His series on Persevering and Transformational Leadership gives them bedrock principles upon which to stand through crisis of any kind.

Taking from personal experience and the wisdom poured into him by other great leaders Dr. Stringer says, "My spiritual father, the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, used to say, 'Winners don't see what they're going through, they only see where they're going to.' More then ever before, Haiti needs leaders of courage who are able to look past their moments of personal challenge and keep their focus on their destination."

According to the ministry, leaders in Haiti need support and encouragement now more than ever.

Pastor Cajuste Moise of Eglise Extension Evangelique Mondale, who is on the organizing committee says: "We are now living in the most difficult time in Haiti's history. I am looking forward to the teachings that will enable us to carry on."
