'GTA V Online' Christmas DLC to bring new events, Lowriders 2.0 and weather conditions

Grand Theft Auto V Rockstar

Rockstar is still making big waves with "Grand Theft Auto Online," and according to a recent report from GamePur, some discovered codes within the game indicates that a Christmas DLC is just around the corner. Not only is the upcoming content Christmas related but it may also add to the previously released Lowriders content.

According to the report, the main file in question is marked "XMAS_3_MP," although no further details have been indicated. The report points out that this may lead to Christmas-related costumes as well as the expected addition of new weapons and gear but it may also include new weather conditions.

The "Grand Theft Auto" games have several weather conditions such as the common sunny day, evening, and light to heavy rain. However, it is speculated this DLC may include snow or blizzard conditions as well. This may then be utilized to make multiplayer missions such as heists even more difficult due to limited movement and vision.

A second file discovered is marked "LOW_2_MP," which is speculated to refer to Lowriders 2.0, an obvious hint that the online game will receive an update to its Lowriders DLC content. Several vehicles that may be included are a mini van, slam van, Tornado, the Virgo2 and Virgo3, Sabre GT2 and Faction 3.

A report from Express also points out that other files discovered that may be linked to next week's Christmas DLC point to three new online events. These are labeled as "Every Bullet Counts," "Beast vs Slasher" and "Extraction." How each one plays out has yet to be explained in a trailer or official announcement.

The report also states that fans are speculating the Christmas DLC might expand the game's world to make it slightly bigger and hold newer locations, although it is stated that this is highly unlikely. The much-anticipated custom apartment DLC is also rumored to be a part of the Christmas DLC or at least expected to release in early 2016.
