'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers, release date: New poster teases new drama

Grey's Anatomy season 13 ABC

ABC  has just released the first official poster for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, courtesy of TVLine. It is noted that the style and design of the poster is significantly different from those in previous seasons and the image it depicts already offers a connotation of the story for season 13.

According to the report, the poster lacks a tagline which is often seen by many as one of the trademarks of a "Grey's Anatomy" promotional piece. Instead, it focuses on a loud color scheme and an image that already gives a good sense of what the story of season 13 will be.

The poster showcases Ellen Pompeo as Dr. Meredith Grey but she is literally split in half as the other side of the poster showcases the Seattle City skyline. According to the report, it is possible that this indicates season 13 will see Meredith split between choosing something for herself and something for the city and her home.

It is further speculated that this might mean choosing between her career, which encompasses everything she has been fighting for in the past twelve seasons, and her new love interest, Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson). This comes particularly after the two shared an intimate moment during the season 12 finale.

However, as stated in the report from TVLine, even Nathan will not be comparable to Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). This doesn't necessarily mean that Meredith won't be willing to take a step forward and finding someone new in her life.

"There will only be one McDreamy ever," the actress had told the media outlet back in 2015. "You know, he's not replaceable."

The IBTimes point out that Meredith will likely be at odds with Maggie (Kelly McCreary) who did express her interests in Nathan. It is likely that the two will be fighting over Nathan's attention and love and given that it is "Grey's Anatomy" there is no guarantee that Meredith will come out as the victor.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 premieres this Sept. 22.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
