Google Nexus 8 release date may come very soon as its predecessor, Nexus 7, is now being offered for a significantly lesser price.
Those who wanted to nab the most recent Nexus 7 tablet may score a perfect deal with an eBay seller. eBay user "digjungle" currently offers the 7-inch tablet for only $199.99. This saves the buyer a good 42% off the tablet's original price of $299.
The only catch here is that the tablet is a refurbished model. There is nothing to worry as the tablet is as good as new, according to the seller. This is definitely true as once defective units are taken back to the manufacturer to be fixed, it is like new again.
The seller charges a shipping fee of $26.73 and the estimated date of delivery will be between July 19 and July 29.
Meanwhile, Google also offered a deal to users. The search engine giant is throwing in a three-month free subscription to Google Play Music All Access when you purchase the 16GB Nexus 7 through the Play Store. The tablet is still available through the Google Play Store for $299 and the promo runs until September 30.
Google Nexus 8 is supposed to be manufactured by HTC and is dubbed as "Volantis". The tablet will pack a 8.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi, 2GB RAM, and HTC's famous front-facing speakers. It will also house NVIDIA's Tegra K1 processor. Reports also predicted that the tablet will cost $399 for the 16GB version, $499 for the 32GB version, while the LTE version will have a price tag of $600.
The 8-inch tablet is reported to be released later this year after the tablet skipped the recently concluded Google's I/O Conference last month. The Nexus 8 tablet will be announced in the fall. However, Google has not announced anything yet.
