Google Nexus 8 release date may be pushed back as the previous reported Nexus 7 that was out of stock recently at the Google Play Store will be replenished, according to Google.

Google fans may have to wait a little longer for the Nexus 8 tablet as TechRadar was in contact with Google which claimed that the supply of the Nexus 7 will be replenished soon, killing the hopes of waiting fans.

The report cited a spokesperson from the tech giant who said: "Sorry for the inconvenience. Nexus 7 will be back in stock in the Play store in the next few days, and is still available from a host of online and high street retailers."

Recently, all of the Google Nexus 7 models in the UK and US Play Store were reportedly listed as out of stock. One of the indications that a new device is coming is when there is a decrease in price or when the stocks of the previous device dwindles down.

The imminent release date of the Google Nexus 8 was fueled by reports that the tablet will be launched on Aug. 19 in New York City after HTC announced that it will hold an event on the said date, according to CNET.

Previous speculations claimed that HTC is developing the next Nexus tablet, which will sport 8.9-inch display screen and will be "high-performance" tablet. The tablet will be available in a premium price tag.

Google Nexus 8 is rumored to pack an 8.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi, NVIDIA's Tegra K1 processor, and 2GB RAM. It is still unconfirmed which third party manufacturer will lend Google a hand in making the Nexus 8 tablet. The tablet will also come with Android L that is expected to arrive in October. But if Nexus 8 will come sooner, it will be most likely come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
