Google Nexus 6 concept image fuses HTC One M8, Nexus 5 specs

A new Google Nexus 6 concept image emerged and showed off a fusion of specs and features of HTC One M8 and Google Nexus 5.

The concept image was created by designer Dmitry Stvolov who imagined the next Google smartphone to have a dual tone LED flash at the back and wide angle lens front camera. According to Concept Phones, the handset has a unibody design that is either made of metal or polycarbonate.

The device packs a 5.2 inch QHD edge-to-edge screen display and a Snapdragon 805 CPU. The device will surely run with Android L. All of these features are encased in a rounded body with soft touch texture.

Google almost confirmed the existence of Google Nexus 6. Google's head of Android engineering and the Nexus program, Dave Burke, told ReadWrite that the tech giant is still invested in the Nexus line and is not scrapping the program. Although Burke did not reveal any detail about the rumored Android Silver program, the Google executive said that it is wrong to assume that Google will end the Nexus program just because there is "something else". This is a clear hint that Android Silver will come soon.

Burke then revealed that his team is working on a new Nexus device, while another team is working on the new versions of Android. The report added that Google has a tradition of releasing a new Nexus device whenever it launched a new version of its Android OS.

Some of the rumored features of Nexus 6 are 5.2-inch full HD curved LCD display; MediaTek 64-bit SoC processor or a 64-bit Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm; 20MP rear camera with HDR mode and 5MP front facing camera.

Google Nexus 6 release date is predicted to happen in October, which has been the launch window of the device. However, Google has not released a concrete and official statement about the Nexus 6.
