It has been reported that Google Nexus 6 and 9 will be released next month and will battle head on with the wide array of smartphones that were released this month as well as the tablets to enter the market soon like the iPads.
There were reports claiming that the aforementioned set of Google devices will be released on Oct.8. Meanwhile, rumor has it that the smartphone and tablet combo will make an appearance on Oct. 31.
It is most certain that the two devices will debut with Android L OS, which Google firmly said will be rolled out this fall. The tech giant, on the other hand, is hushed about the details of its devices and roadmap.
Google Nexus 6 is also dubbed as Nexus X and is reported to pack a larger screen display with 2K or 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The handset will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 CPU and an Adreno 420 GPU to support high res images and videos. The smartphone will also include a pair of stereo speakers on front, a 13MP rear camera, and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
Other rumors claim that the next generation of Nexus smartphone is Google's entry on the phablet category, which makes sense, especially with the emergence of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, LG G3 Stylus, and iPhone 6 Plus.
The Nexus 9 tablet, on the other hand, will allegedly pack an 8.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi, 2GB RAM, and HTC's famous front-facing speakers. Reports state that the tablet will cost $399 for the 16GB version, $499 for the 32GB version, while the LTE version will have a price tag of $600. There were speculations that the alleged HTC-made Nexus 9 will replace Google's previous tablets – Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
Aside from the above features, the tablet is expected come with various case accessories, including a keyboard folio. The accessory is speculated to be a fusion of the features and capabilities of iPad's Smart Cover and Surface Pro's Type Cover keyboard.
However, it seems that consumers just have to wait and see what Google is planning next month.
