Google Nexus 10 2 release date may still happen as its predecessor went on sale in eBay.

Online retailer eBay is selling the first generation of Google Nexus 10 for only $270. The device comes with 4.4.2 Kitkat OS update. Aside from the latest Android OS, the 2012 tablet also boast an Exynos 5 dual, with front facing speakers as well as one of the best screen displays in the a tablet as the device packed a10.1 inch panel with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.

However, latest rumors claimed that Google Nexus 10 2 will be replaced with a 12-inch slate, according to Motoring Crunch. It was rumored that Google will release the Nexus 12 since Samsung launched its own set of 12-inch tablets as Samsung was Google's partner in making the Nexus 10 in 2012.

This is not impossible as there were rumors that Nexus 7 will be replaced by Nexus 8 since there is lesser competition in the 8-inch market, which could be the same predicament of the company in releasing the Nexus 12.

However, other reports claimed that Google will no longer the Nexus 10 2 tablet as the search engine giant is working on the different aspects of the business. Google is allegedly working on Nexus 8 tablet and Nexus 6 smartphone rumored to be released in the next month as well as the Android OS update.

Rumor has it that Google Nexus 10 2 will pack specs and features that include 10.1-inch screen with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. The screen is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3. The tablet will pack an 8MP at the back and the front camera could be 2.1MP. The tablet will also pack a dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-side NFC and a 9500mAh non-removable battery.

The tablet could be the next powerful tablet in the market as it was speculated to be powered by 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor or the NVIDIA Tegra 4, 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The tablet was also speculated to come in the standard 16GB and 32GB variants. However, Google has not confirmed any of these rumors.
