"Glee" season 6 was announced to have a fewer number of episodes, but actress Naya Rivera who was a former regular cast will appear in much fewer scenes.

There were rumors that claimed that Naya Rivera will not be a series' regular, although she was part of the original cast and played a significant role in the series.

Contrary to earlier reports, Naya Rivera is indeed coming back to the series. However, she will not come back as a series regular next season but as a guest star. It is still unconfirmed how many episodes she will be in.

This rumor is supplemented with speculations that this is to avoid Naya Rivera and Lea Michele's interaction as much as possible. Lea Michele plays the prime role in the series. This is due to the reported rift between the two actresses.

It was reported that Rivera had a rift with her co-star Lea Michele that led to the producers' decision to fire the former. Apparently, Rivera went to the producers to complain about Michele's behavior.

However, Michele denied all the rumors and said that she and Rivera were fine.

Meanwhile, "Glee" will be on its final season and Fox's chairman and chief executive Peter Rice will go all out in celebrating the end of the series despite the reduced number of episodes. He also revealed that since this will be the series' final season and the number of episodes is fewer the episodes will be aired in a straight-run with no commercial breaks.

Next season, viewers can expect a time jump and all of the characters will come back to the place where it all started – McKinley High School. Show creator Ryan Murphy welcomed everyone who wanted to come back for the series' final season.

"Glee" season 6 will be back on air in the spring of 2015.
