'Game Of Thrones' season 5 spoilers: Jon Snow's parents revealed? No Lady Stoneheart

"Game of Thrones" season 5 can't come any sooner. After the release of the first official trailer for the new season, fans went crazy digging up spoilers.

While the ultimate resource for spoilers should be the books, fans are dismayed (but still equally excited) that not everything in the books turns out the same in the HBO series. Such is the case with the popular Lady Stoneheart who didn't make her appearance in the season 4 finale.

In the book, the evil reincarnation of Catelyn Stark had a big role to play. But in "Game of Thrones," she was nowhere to be found. Even though disappointed, fans were still hoping that Lady Stoneheart would appear in season 5.

When a Reddit user found actress Michelle Fairley's name in the credits of the episode "Hooded Woman," avid viewers were ecstatic with the possibility of Lady Stoneheart making her way into the show. However, Fairley's camp closed every window of hope the fans had when a representative issued a statement.

"There hasn't been any discussion about [Fairley] returning to the show after Season 3. As of now, this is completely incorrect," the rep told The Huffington Post

Elsewhere, a report from Variety stirred controversy in the world of "Game of Thrones," too. The report was about author George R.R. Martin's original outline for the book. It involves the reveal of Jon Snow's mysterious parents.

While many believe that Snow is a product of Ned Stark and another woman, the new theory says differently. Snow might actually be the son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, the sister of Ned. This may also be the reason why Martin reportedly planned for a Snow and Arya Stark love affair in the beginning because Snow isn't a Stark bastard son — he is actually Ned's nephew.

The revelations are shocking, to say the least, but by the looks of it, HBO has other plans for Snow and Arya. Given that Snow's mother is one of the best-kept mysteries of the show and that Arya is destined for greater things this season, HBO may just keep the secret longer.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 premieres on April 12.
