'Game of Thrones' season 6 spoilers: Jon Snow alive? will he save Sansa Stark?

Kit Harington as Jon Snow during the Game of Thrones season 5 finale HBO

Ever since "Game of Thrones" season 5 ended, book fans and TV show fans have been left hanging regarding the fate of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington). However, rumors persist that the actor has been on set and the latest tidbit from Watchers on the Wall indicate he is not only alive but may also rescue Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

According to the report, scene rehearsals at Northern Ireland were taking place at the set for Winterfell, the home castle for the Stark family. Kit Harrington was reportedly a part of the rehearsals, whch means his character Jon Snow will eventually find his way home to Winterfell.

However, the more interesting fact isn't just that this report indicates the character is alive but that he will be directly interacting with Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark, who is Jon Snow's half-sister. Also noted in the scene are Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen).

Back in season 5, Sansa was wed off to Ramsay as a means to give Ramsay full authority over the North. He then continued to torture her and rape her but it was hinted that placing Sansa there was a part of Sansa and Littlefinger's plan to reclaim the North for the Starks.

Watchers on the Wall also reports that the scene will involve a giant suddenly disrupting the characters as it attempts to break through the outer walls protecting the castle. It is unclear at this point if this giant is the same giant seen in season 5 or an entirely different one that has made it south of the Wall.

Unfortunately, the report has not been able to discern which episode the scene takes place in so it is unclear if Jon Snow's revival and return to Winterfell will take place during the first few episodes or if it will be a part of season 6's finale.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will premiere in spring 2016.
