A lot of people would want to be in Emilia Clarke's shoes right now. Not only did she just learn that she is nominated for an Emmy award in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama category, she also had an early access to the coveted "Game of Thrones" season 6 script.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the actress expressed her excitement about what her character, Daenerys Targaryen, will have to face when "GoT" returns for season 6.
"Ooooh. Oooooh there's so much in store for her," she said. "I'm saying that obviously because I've read the script for next season. Muwah ha ha! I know stories. It's really exciting."
The British actress also said that if the scenes in the previous "Game of Thrones" seasons needed some sort of set-up sequences so viewers who have not read the books written by George R.R. Martin would understand the story, the scenes in season 6 will not need any of it.
"It's just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It's mental; it's epic. And definitely Dany's a part of it," Clarke said.
Daenerys is currently in the wilderness with her dragon-son Drogon after he rescued her from the assassination plot by the Sons of the Harpy. Dany and Drogon also encountered a Dothraki horde in the final episode of "GoT" season 5.
Clarke also shared that her character will learn a lot from her past mistakes as a ruler, and will use those lessons in the upcoming episodes of HBO's epic fantasy series.
"I think that she's definitely on the upwards trajectory of truly learning from the mistakes that she's made as a ruler," the actress shared. "It's not so much a matter of learning from the mistakes that have gone before her, but it's a matter of her trusting herself and being confident in the decisions that she's about to make. And being confident enough to stand next to those decisions and take full responsibility for them."
Meanwhile, Clarke will have to compete will fellow "GoT" star Lena Heady for this year's Emmy Awards. Heady is also nominated for her role as the manipulative Cersei Lannister in the series.
"Game of Thrones" season 6 is slated to air in 2016.
