'Frozen 2' news, plot rumors: Young Elsa and Olaf voice actors talk about sequel

Elsa from Disney's Frozen Walt Disney Animation Studios

Rumors have been flying about regarding what "Frozen 2" will be about, with previous reports here on Christian Today revealing rumors that the sequel might focus on a fire-based villain that may be a good match against Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel) or it could focus on giving Elsa a new love interest.

A new report from Coming Soon features Josh Gad, voice actor for snowman Olaf. The actor was asked if he had already been to the studio to get some work done or if he's heard any developments on the much-awaited sequel. His official statements reads:

"It's already been announced and I know that they're actively developing it. I think it's still a bit away. I think that the creative team is really taking their time to define how to top that story. The more I hear about it, the more excited I'm getting and I think it's going to be wonderful."

According to a report from MovieNewsGuide, the film's script is already being written by "Frozen" co-director Jennifer Lee. However, it is possible that Disney is already getting some of the voice work done because a report from M-Magazine states that the voice actor for young Elsa, Eva Bella, has already gone to the studios to record some lines.

"Always a good place to start my day! Nice to be back...busy day ahead! Let's do this! #actorslife #FROZEN" the young actress posted via Twitter.

This not only confirms that there is some work already being done but it also confirms that there may be additional flashback scenes in the film that focus on young Elsa and young Anna. It is possible that their childhood friendship and relationship as "inseparable sisters" may have something to do with the main plot of "Frozen 2."

"Frozen 2" has no official release date as of the time of writing but it is speculated to hit theaters either in late 2017 or summer 2018.
