Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s next fight with Manny Pacquiao after Filipino champ's match with Chris Algieri?

Fans of two of the biggest boxing champs in the world, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr., have been wanting the boxers to battle it out in the ring, but their dream match has yet to unfold.

According to Pacquiao in his statement to Phil Boxing, the fight could finally come about next year, possibly around spring or fall. Sources have claimed that Showtime is preparing for Mayweather's upcoming fight as it is expected to generate profits and earn back the investments they have made on Mayweather.

While this may be thrilling news for fans of the two boxing champs, Pacman is first focusing on his upcoming match with American boxer Chris Algieri.

"But right now, I would like to focus on the Algieri fight," Pacquiao said, referring to his bout this November.

Meanwhile, when asked about Mayweather's next potential fight, the boxer's uncle said it might be between Khan or Pacquiao himself.

"At the end of the day, Pacquiao has a fight in front of him and he has to win, and if he wins then it becomes a reality, the possibility of [Mayweather vs Pacquiao] happening can become a reality," Jeff Mayweather said in a recent statement to On the Ropes Boxing. "But, other than that, it won't happen."

In Pacman's team, the boxer's head trainer Freddie Roach has reportedly been worn out by the continual outrages brought on by Mayweather's camp, such as drug test controversies and television network issues. Moreover, the five-division world champ's side has made accusations against Pacquiao's camp for not allowing their fight to happen yet.

"The possibility to fight with him, you know, the question is not for us," Pacquiao said, as reported by Sky Sports . "It's for them because any time we are willing to fight, any time. I think that question belongs to them, their camp."

Promoter Bob Arum also has had something to say about the match that has been brewing but has never come about these past years.

"There is only now one impediment and he's been the major impediment to this fight and that's Floyd Mayweather," the Telegraph reported.
