First Christmas project from Kutless

Christian rock band are ready to cap a great year with the release of their first Christmas project.

This is Christmas is out on Tuesday via BEC Recordings and features classic holiday songs like "O Holy Night" and "Mary Did You Know".

It also includes two original Kutless Christmas tunes - "This is Christmas" and "Beautiful").

It's set to be a busy end to the year for the band as they join the One True God, Winter Jam and Very Merry Christmas tours.

"The Christmas season is one of my favourite times of the year," shares Kutless frontman Jon Micah Sumrall.

"It is a special time for us to enjoy family, festivities, and gift giving but most importantly to remember the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

"My hope is that This is Christmas will be an encouraging and festive reminder of why we celebrate Christmas. Truly Jesus is the reason for the season."

The band has become a staple on the Christian rock scene since the release of their hit worship album It is Well in 2009.

Not looking to slow down any time soon, the band are putting the finishing touches to a brand new studio project due out some time next year.
