Most of the recent news regarding the "Final Fantasy" franchise has focused on the remake of "Final Fantasy 7," but it's the game officially named "Final Fantasy 15" that is most likely to have an earlier release date.

First off, it's worth detailing what Square Enix has officially identified as the release window for the game.

According to Square Enix, "Final Fantasy 15" is expected to be released sometime in 2016, although an exact date has yet to be given. Square Enix has also announced that an upcoming March 2016 event will be where the company intends to reveal the game's official launch date, IGN reported.

That would suggest that fans can expect "Final Fantasy 15" not to be launched in the first quarter of 2016, unless Square Enix is planning to release it less than a month after the aforementioned event.

Another reason to believe that "Final Fantasy 15" will not be launched within the first few months of 2016 is the emergence of a recent report suggesting that another demo could be released for the game.

In an interview with the Chinese website VG Time and as reported on by Gamereactor, "Final Fantasy 15" director Hajime Tabata revealed that the game's developers were not satisfied with the first demo that was released. According to the director, the developers are now working on another demo.

The release date and the contents of that second demo have not been revealed, but it does suggest that Square Enix is still trying to hammer out the details when it comes to "Final Fantasy 15."

Still, those hoping that "Final Fantasy 15" could be launched sooner rather than later can cling to recent reports that revealed that the game is now playable from start to finish.

The first half of "Final Fantasy 15" is also reportedly completed, and that bodes well for the game meeting its 2016 deadline.
