"Fallout 4" is coming to the HTC Vive in December and that's not the only good news this release has to offer. HTC is also releasing a virtual reality (VR) headset bundle and those who purchase it will receive a free pre-order code for "Fallout 4 VR."

The trailer for the upcoming VR version of "Fallout 4" was released at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. It was uploaded on Bethesda Softworks' YouTube channel.

"Fallout 4 VR's" trailer features various places found in the wasteland and it showcases how players will be able to move around with the new Vive controllers. It also featured setting customization and what decorations and moving items would now look like.

Bethesda uploaded another video on YouTube in September, a few months after they uploaded the E3 2017 trailer. The video begins with an interview with Andrew Scharf, the lead producer of "Fallout 4's" VR port. Scharf is also the lead producer of the "The Elder Scrolls V" Skyrim's" VR port, which is going to be released this year as well.

Similar to "Skyrim's" port, "Fallout 4" is going to include their entire game in the VR release, meaning hundreds and hundreds of hours of quests and exploring the wastelands. Not only that, but there will be the side quests and a large number of weapons and armors to test out, not to mention, the variety of foes players will be able to test their fighting and shooting skills on.

Some of the changes made to VR port of "Fallout 4" include the way players use the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (VATS). On the console and PC versions, VATS allowed players to freeze time and wreak havoc on the enemies, but after that was done, the camera would pan out to show players how their attacks took place.

However, in the VR version, Sharf mentioned that after players freeze time, they will be allowed to teleport across the screen and shoot at their foes. This time camera control will not be taken away from them. Other things such as the power armor head-up displays were also tweaked for added player comfort.
