'Fallout 4' release date announcement at upcoming EGX 2014?

Although a loyal fanbase has been highly anticipating the release of "Fallout 4", its developers have not announced any information as to when the game will be made available.

Speculations have been centered on the game's development, such as its versions for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, which are believed to already be in the works. Others have also rumored that the game's original developer Bethesda has turned over the development to Battle Studios.

However, KDramaStars (citing Cyberland as its source) has reported that the "Fallout 4" release date is likely to be announced at the EGX 2014, previously known as the Eurogamer Expo. Bethesda is said to be planning on surprising fans at the EGX 2014, which runs from Sept. 25 to 28, by featuring the said game at the event in London.

Bethesda's "Fallout" series has been widely known as an open-world role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic environment. Players are given the option to venture out to the open world or go through the given storyline and other quest lines. They can also make use of guns and melee weapons to defend themselves from the thieves that they will come across on their explorations.

Although the "Fallout" series has achieved a considerable following among gamers worldwide, the game has not had a sequel for several years.  The latest addition to its lineup, "Fallout: New Vegas", was released back in October 2010.

As such, online gamers have contributed to the most recent speculations with which an unofficial fan-made "Fallout 4" teaser has been shared. Although there have been no confirmed details from Bethesda, others have also speculated that "Fallout 4" will be released at a time when the last generation devices may not be highly popular anymore. Thus, the upcoming game may be developed mainly for next-generation consoles, including the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as the PC.

Looking into these rumors that have come out, Pete Hines of Bethesda has finally spoken out and asked fans to ignore such speculations. Rather, they should wait for the official details to be released by Bethesda, although it may take some time for "Fallout 4" information to be revealed.
