Zeref may cast the Neo Eclipse technique in chapter 534 of "Fairy Tail."

Previously in the special double-chapter issue of the manga, Zeref and Natsu did not meet eye to eye. Zeref wanted to turn back the clock despite its implications, but Natsu did not agree with the Dark Wizard's plan.

Although Zeref seems to be selfish, he also has a good reason behind his plan. He admitted that he is no match with Acnologia, whom he believes will bring destruction and the end of everyone in humanity. However, since he and Mavis are immortal, they will survive the wrath of the Black Dragon.

Nonetheless, this is not good news for them. Zeref believes that even if they survive the impending doom, the Black Dragon may just use him and Mavis as instruments of amusement or even torture them. In fact, he thinks his immortality is a curse. Mavis seems supportive of his plan, as she also allowed Zeref to absorb his power while he and Natsu engaged in a battle previously.

In chapter 534 of "Fairy Tail," Zeref may proceed to the Ravines of Time in order to push through with his plan to turn back the time and erase all the memories of the people through his Neo Eclipse technique.

It is not expected to be an easy journey, as Zeref will also race with Anna to get there and try to defeat the Black Dragon. Based on speculations, they will use different techniques in order to bring down their enemy.

Anna will use her celestial magic to trap the Black Dragon in a dimension that he cannot escape. This method will defeat Acnologia, but everything else will remain the same. On the other hand, Zeref will attempt to reset the time 400 years back when the enemy was not yet very powerful. By doing this, he will also erase everything that have happened in the time in between.

The new chapter of "Fairy Tail" is expected to be released soon in the "Weekly Shounen Jump."
