Evengelical Church of Germany Demands Family Friendly Politics

The Evangelical Church of Germany (EKD) had joined with experts from the science and political spheres in demanding the political advancement of families from the new Federal Government of Germany.

Bishop Christoph Kaehler said families in Germany are "doubly burdened in scandalous ways". The EKD said that families are burdened not just with the raising of the children but with contributions to social security.
