Eminem has fallen victim to another internet death hoax. This time, rumors claim he has been 'stabbed in New York' and died.

Representatives for Eminem, whose real name is Marshal Mathers, have rubbished the rumors and confirmed that the artist is alive and well. "Not true. He remains unstabbed," a rep told E Online.

The death rumor stems from a sidebar advertisement on Facebook which claims that Eminem was stabbed in New York City. The fake post shows a photo of a man's back decorated with tattoos with deep slash marks. A message attached to the photo claims that the stabbing was caught on surveillance video.

The headline of the post reads: "Rapper Eminem Left Nearly DEAD After Being Stabbed 4 Times In NYC!! Warning 18+!! It was all caught on surveillance video! Click the pic to play the video!"

But users must beware of clicking on the grisly photo for more details, as it just leads to a site called amazingvid.biz.

Singer Justin Bieber also fell victim to a similar hoax last year when he was allegedly 'stabbed' in NYC.

Eminem's death hoax rumor comes amidst news that his new album may be released in the summer of this year or even earlier – May 28. Comedian Chris Rock is also rumored to have collaborated with Eminem for his new album as he was recently photographed leaving his studio.

Speaking to Fuse TV earlier this week, Rock, gave a clear indication that he could be featured: "Hey, hey, I was on the Kanye [West] record… maybe I'm on the Eminem record. You never know."

Rock may not be the only special guest featuring on Eminem's new album, and the rapper has also been seen in the studio with Big Sean.
