Earthquake in Fukushima, Japan today: 5.3 magnitude quake rocks prefecture, no tsunami, nuclear power plants unaffected

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake has struck Fukushima Prefecture in Japan today. 

The huge quake rocked the prefecture of Japan, which houses the nuclear power plant which endangered neighboring residents after the devastating quake and tsunami in March 2011.

The earthquake struck early Friday morning 13 miles under the Fukushima Prefecture, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

An alert for a Tsunami Warning has not been issued. 

The nuclear power plant however has not leaked any radiation in light of the recent quake and everything seems to normal.
