'Duck Dynasty' celebrates its 100th episode with Liberty University

"Duck Dynasty" has officially ended its ninth season, with the season finale being celebrated as the series' one hundredth episode to date.As stated in a report from WSET, the celebration reached as far as Lynchburg, Virginia, where cast members John Luke and Mary Kate Robertson were dropped off for college.

The episode, "RV There Yet?" parts 1 and 2 combined, saw the main cast go on a roadtrip that took them from Louisiana to Lynchburg, Virginia. The trip was scheduled to bring John Luke and his wife Mary Kate to Liberty University, where they would begin their college life together.

According to the report, the university held a viewing party -- which allowed students and staff, right after their weekly Campus Community service activities -- to watch the episode together, culminating at the point in the episode where John Luke and his wife arrived and were welcomed by the school.

"It's so amazing the support that Liberty students give us while we were just moving here and coming to school and treating us like normal people. It's amazing, and I'm glad we could share it with them first," states John Luke in regards to the warm welcome coming from Liberty University.

The report confirms that the cast of the show also divulged some inside information regarding the filming of the series, but it is stated that the information is not allowed to leave the campus, emphasizing on a level of confidentiality between the cast of "Duck Dynasty" and Liberty University.

According to WWL, the cast are already beginning production for season 10, and it is likely that Liberty University will be visited again in order to shed some light on John Luke and Mary Kate's college life. The report also states that the new family member, young Rowdy Robertson, will be making an appearance in the new season.
