Duchess Kate and Prince William have renovated Kensington Palace before they could move in with their small family.
The royal couple renovated the 20-bedroom Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace in a period of 18 months, which was mainly spearheaded by Kate Middleton.
The young family can now move into their new asbestos-free home, which reportedly has encrypted WiFi, central air-conditioning, three kitchens and a panic room, according to Us Weekly.
An insider told Us Weekly: "Kensington Palace is safe and contained, and such a welcoming environment. You feel like you have freedom there."
The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly worked with her mother's designer Anne Allen to redecorate her new home. The home has been modernized to provide maximum security for both Prince William and Prince George, who are the future heirs to the throne.
The home is reportedly decorated with beiges, creams and earth tones, along with Corinthian lamps and Persian rugs.
The Palace insider told Us Weekly: "Their home is beautiful. This is a very exciting time for them."
The royal couple is expected to host a housewarming party on November 26. The party will be joined by a number of celebrities, with performances expected from Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, James Blunt and more.
