'Doctor Strange' spoilers: Dormammu possibly revealed

Marvel Studios showcased some of its properties such as the concept art for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" during this year's San Diego Comic Con, but as reported by Collider, there have also been a few merchandise and a panel for "Doctor Strange." One of these collectibles reportedly might be a hint as to the film's main villain.

According to the report, Hasbro displayed a set of collectible "Doctor Strange" figures. Two of the three are designed in the likeness of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. The third action figure is that of a villain wearing purple armor and has a flaming black skull as its head and face.

It is further pointed out that this is the villain Dormammu from the comic books although there are no confirmations that this design is the same design being used for the film. It is entirely possible that the Dormammu action figure is just a rare collectible for attendees to purchase but does not reflect how the character looks in the movie.

Fans also point out that there are no action figures for some of the other main characters such as the villain Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) or the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton). There are also figures based on the comic book designs of Doctor Strange and Baron Mordo and it is possible that the Dormammu figure is merely for the comic book line.

Marvel Studios has also put some of the main costumes on display at the San Diego Comic Con floor, particularly those worn by Baron Mordo, Doctor Strange and the Ancient One. The images have also been shared to the public via Marvel's official Twitter account. It is noted these are the costumes worn by the actors in the film.

"Doctor Strange" will open in theaters this Nov. 4.
