Disney Interactive is seeking to rake in another successful venture as they release the "Disney Infinity 2.0" installment of the toy-game franchise. "Disney Infinity 2.0" has already unveiled 20 new characters, which are based on some of the most popular Marvel superheroes, as reported by The Guardian

The game will allow users to let their favorite Marvel super friends battle it out with each other in a wide range of games and settings. For instance, "Disney Infinity 2.0" enables users to choose from the given tools and create mini-games, comprised of familiar characters, settings, and resources.

"The big innovation we've done is focusing on improving the software 'in the figures'," Infinity executive producer John Vignocchi said. "You can actually make conscious choices about how you want to customize them. You can focus on flight capabilities for Iron Man or maybe the ability to (sustain) more damage."

Interestingly, the characters are incorporated with each of their own sub-games.  The starter set, for example, has been said to include massive content such as the Assault on Asgard, Escape from Kyln, and The Avengers game, to name a few, which can be played on the "Disney Infinity" base that gamers can plug into their consoles.

Aside from these, fans also get two Toy Box game pieces for unlocking two mini-games as well as Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow figurines. Users can easily place a toy on the base and drop a Toy Box game piece to start playing.

In addition, "Disney Infinity 2.0" has significantly improved the way things are built and shared among users. Up to 300 boxes can be stored in a private cloud, while 100,000 boxes can be accessed and downloaded.

Aside from the starter pack, nine individual figures are being made available by Disney from "The Avengers," "Spider-Man" and "Guardians of the Galaxy." Moreover, play-set bundles and power discs for "Spider-Man" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" have also been released. Such discs can be used by players to unlock new toys, weapons, powers and more, with a blind pack of two discs being sold at $4.99.
