'Devious Maids' season 4 premiere: love triangle plot for Marisol

Devious Maids ABC, Lifetime

The latest promo trailer for "Devious Maids" season 4 sees the lead character Marisol Suarez (Ana Ortiz) suddenly swept away in a complicated love affair that may lead to a heated argument between her and Genevieve Delatour (Susan Lucci).

As stated in a report from Ecumenical News, Marisol already ended her relationship with Jesse (Nathan Owens), but that doesn't automatically mean they'll stop being intimate with each other. The promo reveals that even when they've broken things off, they can't stop sleeping with each other.

However, it is pointed out that Marisol needs to confess something to Jesse, and this is the fact that she is already committed to a new relationship. As it turns out, this new love interest is newcomer Peter (James Denton), a big-time Hollywood producer hoping to make a movie in the area based on the murder of Blanca Alvarez (Naya Rivera).

Back in January, a report from TV Line revealed that Peter will fall in love with someone despite being a new character in season 4, and the promo trailer reveals this to be none other than Marisol. However, this relationship will quickly hit a hurdle, and it is not due to Peter and Jesse learning about the other's affair with the same girl.

Instead, it is revealed that Genevieve may already have an established relationship with Peter. The promo shows Peter and Marisol heading to his home only to find Genevieve already there, lounging on his couch and calling him in an affectionate manner.

According to the report, it may be possible that a catfight between Genevieve and Marisol will take place and this could be an indication of the upcoming murders that will happen on the show. The report reiterates that actor Grant Show previously hinted that season 4 will see several characters killed off.

"Devious Maids" season 4 premieres June 6.
