'Dark Souls 3' DLC release date: First DLC launches in August; new patch fixes game bugs and glitches

Dark Souls 3 From Software, Bandai Namco

It was previously reported that "Dark Souls 3" will be having two DLC packs coming soon, with the first DLC speculated to launch by this August and the second to follow either by the holidays or early 2017. As fans await for the big DLC expansions, From Software has released a brand new patch update to address some immediate issues.

As stated in an official post from the PlayStation blog, update 1.08 (app version labeled as 1.05) addresses several issues, adjusts some of the game's weapons and also introduced improvements to Trophies.

The patch fixes issues like "Dark Souls 3" suddenly freezing when the player jumps into the Archdragon Peak fog after ringing the bell and an issue where the Symbol of Avarice still drained health even when the player was standing next to a bonfire.

Starting "The Rinfinger Leonhard" quest begins properly now and Trophies will be unlocked properly even when the player immediately sends a Trophy's required item straight to their storage. Using a Wax Pool after using the Dragon Head Stone will disable the option to equip a helm.

Several weapons have also been adjusted. These include the fist weapons, claws, twin blades and the consistency with curved blade attacks. The scythe has been fixed as it used to not penetrate shields when fighting in close combat.

Dark phantoms can longer be forced back onto the map and a host will no longer be separated from his or her area during a Dark Phantom invasion. Another new fix is that the voice chat icon will remain visible even when the HUD display has been set for "Auto."

The report states that the new update is available for all versions of the game althoug the sizes for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 version may differ due to the slight differences in patch content.

As stated in the report, no exact release dates for the two main DLC expansions have been announced except for a late 2016 and early 2017 launch window. However, fans can already avail of the season pass and PC players can get the season pass on Steam.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
